Making of Balkanik! Festival 2014

BalKaniK!Festival 2014

Music of the roots in the heart of effervescent Bucharest

The 5th anniversary edition brings to the stage renowned artists like Fanfare Ciocârlia, Shantel and Bukovina Club Orkestra, Ivo Papasov or Amsterdam Klezmer Band

• Balkanik! Festival is the most resonant world music festival in South-Eastern Europe, taking place this year on 11th, 12th and 13th of September, in Bucharest, Romania

• Traditional handicrafts, workshops, hay couches, hammocks, circus shows, art exhibitions and dancing barefoot in the sand add up to the bohemian atmosphere of the festival

Location

Uranus Garden, 44 Uranus Street, Bucharest, ROMANIA

Uranus Garden manages to capture the true essence of the urban space in Bucharest, alluring through a combo of contrasting elements. Although it is an open-air space in which the green color is queen, the garden is found in the center of the capital city of Romania, and a relaxed, cool atmosphere is created in the heart of chaos and disquiet. Uranus Garden is a sheer oasis, around which everything gravitates with speed. But, on the 11th, 12th and 13th of September, this oasis will be brought to life, as we made a custom of resurrecting it every year for Balkanik Festival. It will not commingle with the rest of the city, it will be surrounded and wrapped in the Balkan spirit! Balkanik Festival will explode and what you will find in the garden is a great party with music, dance, art, exquisite food and beverage, fine wine and many many surprises. We await you to share the joy together, with passion and yen for life!

The Ark, Strada Uranus 150, București, ROMÂNIA

De atunci poarta numele 'The Ark’.
